Eligibility for Workplace Health Champion Training

Our Workplace Health Champion training is funded by the European Social Fund and in order to access the free provision, your business and employees must meet the eligibility criteria listed below. If you are unable to meet any of the criteria specifications listed, please get in contact with our team and we can discuss the options available.

Eligibility Criteria for Businesses

For a business to be able to access the free provision to them as part of Business Health Matters, the following eligibility criteria applies:

  • A business must be a Lancashire-based Enterprise and be able to prove this via Companies House or Employer Data Services.
  • Provide their current State Aid entitlement (no more than 200,000 euros in a 3-year period and sign a declaration)
  • Complete eligibility paperwork alongside a nominated employee who will go on the course.

Eligibility Criteria for Employees

Employees who want to attend the course must be able to meet the following criteria:

  • Provide evidence that they have the right to live and work in the UK until December 2023 (e.g. passport)
  • Prove they are in employment/ self-employment and provide evidence (recent wage slip/contract)
  • Be over the age of 15
  • Complete eligibility paperwork
  • Not have received ESF 2.1 funding previously
